What’s All Around Us, Within Us, And Permeates The Entire Universe?

by Bamboo Forest

You are in a completely fresh moment right now.

Imagine you visited the market and purchased chicken, took it out of its packaging readying to cut it to prepare for cooking and then realized it was rotten to the core.

Not only would you be pissed, you might have a lawsuit against the grocery store for selling rotten chicken.

The Present Moment is Fresh

You’ll never have such a charge against the present moment, however, for it’s all round us, within us, and even permeates the entire universe; it’s the freshest element known to man and you’re immersed in it all the time.

You notice it when you pour your coffee in the morning and see your coffee descend into your cup and then joyously rise to the rim in anticipation to invigorate you.

You notice it when the world turns grey and earthquakes of the sky tremor as if to give you a wakeup call that the time to live is now.

You notice it when you’re in the midst of a forest and you hear the tree leaves whispering into your ears that had the wind never came, its message would be lost.

The present moment is really a message of hope and opportunity.

And it’s all you got.

Not using it in the most amazing ways possible is like being given 100,000 dollars and being told you have one month to spend it however you wish and ending up not spending a single dime.

You’re always in the above month; your life is made up of a number of months and then no more.

How you spend your month, your day, and your hour is how you spend your life.

Each moment is a new beginning for you to live in any way you determine. You and you alone are the master of your thoughts, your words and your actions. And at any moment you can determine that how you use your powers is different from the past.

The past doesn’t equal the future. The present equals the future.

The present moment is the freshest element in the universe, our greatest gift, and amazingly, it’s something we can tap into whenever we wish.

The thoughts you choose to think now. The actions you choose to take now. And the words you choose to say now are what determine the quality of your life.

Who are you?

That all depends on how you choose to use your present moments.

Hi Bamboo Forest,

Very thoughtful words…

“The past doesn’t equal the future. The present equals the future.” As difficult as it can be to accept, we can’t change what we’ve done in the past, but can definitely change how it affects us today.

When you think about it, ‘now’ is all we’re guaranteed to have as the future is just a possibility. That is quite liberating when you look at the opportunities that you can grasp.

Hi Bamboo Forest,

It is true that the present moment is all that we have. If we do not treasure the present or if we are not clear about our priorities, we will waste each and every moment we have. This can only lead to a life that is filled with regrets. But if we realize the value of the present and all that we can achieve through it, if we make the effort to take action in the here and now, we will achieve our goals and have less regrets in life.

Thank you for sharing this post!

@ Scott: It really is liberating when you look at the opportunities that you can grasp. Well said and thank you for the comment.

@ The Vizier: Good point about being clear about our priorities… That’s something to think about. Certainly, clarity about one’s priorities will diminish a lackluster life. If we’re clear about our priorities we’re then more likely to act upon them!

Thank you for your comment.
