How to Realize Your Dreams

by Bamboo Forest

All possibility and potential exists in the now.

Anything that can make your dream come true is the result of a choice you make in this moment. That’s why it’s so vital to be truly here, right now.

If your plan was to cook an amazing meal, the final outcome would be exclusively the result of how you used each present moment prior to its completion. Every great accomplishment is not the result of some big effort, but is actually the result of your state of mind, body and spirit in the present.

It’s your internal energies that propel you in the direction you go. When your internal energies get broken up (through worry) and channeled other places (through distraction), your level of effectiveness to realize your dreams becomes compromised.

GET BACK IN THE NOW.

It’s where you want to be, trust me. Be here fully with all your mind, body and spirit.

Choose Your Beliefs in The Now

You can’t choose your beliefs in the future. You can’t choose your beliefs in the past. You can only choose your beliefs in the now.

Is what your believing benefiting you?

If your beliefs aren’t propelling you in the most optimal direction, now is the time to change them. Begin by asking yourself, “What beliefs could I have that would most assist me in realizing my dreams?”

Answer that question with your mind, and discard those beliefs that only serve to construct obstacles for your life. Those obstacles create a heavy price, one you’re better off without paying.

Choose Your Focus in The Now

Exercise full awareness. Your mind is constantly creating thoughts. Some of those thoughts are uplifting, while others remove you from the game. Having full awareness in the moment allows you to discern those thoughts which are uplifting and those that are detrimental and have the potential to lead you astray.

It’s important to realize, however, that’s it’s not detrimental thoughts that cause you to live in detrimental ways. It’s your belief and attachment to those thoughts!

This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t develop control over your thoughts. But it’s not always possible to have your thoughts be optimal in an uninterrupted way. It is, however, always possible to behave in ways that are optimal for your life regardless of the thoughts in your head.

The truth is our thoughts and beliefs are powerful forces. So powerful, that we have to question them all the time. Our dreams are at stake here!

The number of possible thoughts that you should question and disbelieve is endless. But they all have one thing in common: Belief in them and obedience to them can put your dreams on the line.

Examples of thoughts that should be questioned and rebelled against:

  1. It’s not worth trying because of ‘x reason’.
  2. I’m too tired to even try.
  3. I just can’t do it.

Don’t believe everything you think! And don’t allow your actions to stem from everything you think! (What if your beliefs and thoughts are wrong and you allowed your whole life to be dictated by them?)

Man or woman up and do what it takes to get where you need to go, whether or not your thoughts cooperate. Be a warrior, kid! If your thoughts and beliefs are sabotaging how good your life could be, then chuck them into the river and never look back.

To do all of the above, you must exercise self-awareness. This way, you’ll be able to intervene in your mind and in your behavior at all times. Your dreams will get fulfilled as a result.
