How to Be Happy and Fulfill Your Dreams

by Bamboo Forest

What would happen if you made a rule that the only thoughts you permitted were ones that enhanced your well-being and improved your life?

This is actually a rule I’ve made for myself.

The impetus for making this rule is because I have dreams. I’ve realized that whenever I have thoughts not in alignment with this rule I’m decreasing the possibility of my dreams materializing and I’m unwilling to pay that price.

Two dreams I have are to be a successful entrepreneur and to find an amazing girl. And the only thing that is going to produce those results is the action that I take. That’s it.

It dawned on me that if I truly want those dreams to materialize, I must only permit those thoughts that encourage actions leading to my dream’s fulfillment.

Thoughts That Can Preclude Your Dream’s Fulfillment

Attachment to the past. It’s amazing how we sometimes dwell on the past as if it will somehow improve our present.

If you permit yourself to dwell on the past, then you’re a willing participant of diminishing the possibility of your dreams coming true.

Are you willing to pay that price? If not, you won’t permit thoughts of the past to enter your mind. Those thoughts depress you, causing you to take less action that will bring you closer to your dreams.

Doubt. I have no personal vendetta against thoughts doubting what I’m capable of. What I’m uncompromisingly against are thoughts that diminish the chances of my dreams coming true.

Since doubt results in the aforementioned, I simply don’t doubt myself. I’m unwilling to pay the price doubt creates. I believe with certainty I’m capable of realizing my dreams.

Negative thoughts in general. Are negative thoughts good or bad? As far as I’m concerned they’re neither.

What I do know, however, is that negative thoughts will compromise my well-being. When my well-being gets compromised, my state of mind gets compromised. When my state of mind gets compromised, my actions get compromised.

As mentioned earlier, the only thing that will lead to my dreams coming true are the actions that I take. Since that’s the case, I don’t tolerate thoughts that promote self-defeating behavior because those thoughts decrease the chances of my dreams coming true. And that’s a price I’m unwilling to pay.

What are your dreams?  What thoughts will decrease the chances of them coming true? Are you willing to have those kinds of thoughts knowing the price it could cost you?

I’m not.

This is so right, if we let past hover around us, we can never look forward, like something always prevents us for walking further. Past is past, it can be a history to learn, but not something that makes us so attached that we can’t break free and later work to fulfill our dreams.
