How to Break Out of Your Comfort Zone and Reach Your True Potential

What is your comfort zone? It’s death.

Life’s about growth. It’s not about stagnation. Wherever you currently are, consider climbing a few more rungs on the ladder of life than you did yesterday. Perhaps there’s a window just a few rungs up leading to a new opportunity you once only dreamt of.

Your true potential being fulfilled demands you do what you’ve never done before or what you quit too early. Traveling the same path and hoping it will give you better results is insane.

Put the fire of your soul in the driver’s seat and not your feelings which keep you imprisoned from fulfilling your dreams that lie deep within you.

Part of the problem is that somewhere in our psyche we believe that if we get out of our comfort zone our world will implode. No greater lie has ever been told. When you get out of your comfort zone, your world won’t be destroyed like Alderaan. On the contrary, you’ll feel stronger, happier and more peaceful.

Nothing will create peace like living up to your potential and nothing will help you to live up to your potential more than getting out of your comfort zone.

Think of your comfort zone as a sand box you sit in and watch all those who’ve gotten out of it do things that you’d also like to do.

Suggestions For Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone

A. Approach a guy or girl that you’re attracted to.

B. Get out of your house and do something fun in the evening even when you’re a little tired. You’ll be surprised how your energy increases. And even if it didn’t, at least you won’t be tired in the confines of your house where nothing interesting happens.

C. Start a blog, a martial art class, or start playing organized sports. Your mind has given you many reasons not to for so long. But maybe now it’s time to get out of your comfort zone.

D. Stop procrastinating on cleaning your car or dealing with your pigsty.

E. Begin and maintain a healthy diet that you know will make you happy.

F. Start going to sleep and waking up at your ideal time. Keep up the pace and eventually it will come naturally to you.

G. Eradicate a bad temper.

There are so many ways to get out of our comfort zone which will give us the joy we seek. What ways do you recommend we get out of our comfort zone to enhance our lives?
